FUNDING THE 2028 OLYMPIC DREAM
Current Priority!
Funding a new race boat
Looking ahead to the end of this season and to make next season the most successful one yet means ensuring that I have the best equipment possible. This means it’s time to invest in a new race boat, retiring my current boat to domestic training and purchasing a new one for the European race circuit.
Does two boats sound excessive? Yes. Is having two boats significantly cheaper over the course of two years? Yes. By about £10k. The way the season typically operates is by starting winter training in southern Europe before racing in the Mediterranean over the Spring/ Summer. Alongside this is the requirement to race and train in the UK to stay eligible for the team and European events. By operating two separate boats it ensures maximum logistical and financial efficiency, the cost? Financial. If you, or your company are in the position that you’d like to support me in buying a new race boat, please do get in touch!
The total cost of a fully rigged to top spec boat is £10,000.
Asking for support is actually really hard. Living in elite sport is both a privilege and a struggle and therefore any help is always gratefully received! It makes a huge difference.
If you have any information, questions or want to support me, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, I have many more details to share!!
